What is Crime, Law, & Justice?

This program, part of the Sociology department, (and the program's Administration of Justice bachelors degree) prepares students for careers related to crime and justice.

Career directions with a B.A./B.S.:

Entry level positions in the criminal justice system, such as law enforcement (private and public), probation and parole, and corrections. Other graduates find employment in law firms, prevention and treatment programs (rape crisis centers, delinquency prevention and diversion programs, child abuse prevention programs, and drug and alcohol abuse programs), and corporate security divisions.

Career directions with a graduate degree:

Law school is one of the most popular post-graduate areas to pursue. Others pursue careers in research and planning organizations (research and training about crime and justice issues), which often require graduate training in criminal justice, criminology or other social sciences.
