Level I Funding
Structure for Level I Proposals
Proposals should not exceed 2 pages, but should include the following sections:
- Identifying information:
You must include contact information for all investigators, including the lead investigator and collaborating investigators. See the Word document for specific information required.
- Purpose:
Describe the specific aims of the proposal. It may be helpful to review examples of successful Level I proposals.
- Brief background and description of activities:
Provide a brief background or rationale for the proposal, and a description of the specific activities.
- Relevance to CYFC goals:
Describe how the proposal will contribute to the CYFC mission, goals, and priority themes.
- Budget:
Describe the amount requested and how the funds will be used.
This section should also list your departmental budget information needed to transfer the money awarded to you. At a minimum, include the name and phone number of your department's budget coordinator. If available to you, the following information should also be included: budget and fund number, and administrative area number. - Timeline:
Describe the anticipated timeline to accomplish the goals of the proposal.
