Review of Proposals for New Faculty Positions

• After consulting with the Dean, department chairs should submit proposals to the Dean, who will select proposals and submit them to the CYFC.
• The Steering Committee of the CYFC will review proposals in the spring of each academic year and provide an advisory recommendation to the Director.
• The Director will then consult with the Executive Committee, and provide final approval for searches to particular departments. Thus, positions will be allocated by the summer prior to the search year.
• The CYFC encourages departments to consider appointing a member of the CYFC Steering Committee to their search committees for these positions, to facilitate ongoing communication and support.
• The CYFC co-funded emphasis for AY 2007-2008 will be announced during the spring semester 2007. Once a decision about a topic has been made, this information will be distributed via the CYFC listserve and will appear on this web site. Please continue to check back for updates.
